I have a 2014 sanibel with a dometic 9100 power awning attached.
Dometic 9100 awning problems.
Our awning motor i believe is failing.
At the motor on the right side of the awning just happened.
I extended the awning with no problem.
I tried the awning using it and it worked.
Fortunately i was able to quickly diagnose the problem was the manual power switch itself and not the motor fuse or wiring.
I own a 2012 outback 301bq with a dometic 9100 power awning.
We can start it again shortly and go a ways and stop.
Maintain a verify valance is in correct position and adjust if necessary.
Failure toggle down retract briefly on awning switch until valance is in correct position.
If awning is over extended press horizontal distance of at least 16 between fully open awning and any permanent object.
While camping this year an unexpected gust of wind bent the awning arm located towards the rear of the trailer.
Where exactly do you think the noise is coming from.
Motor sounds to be in a bind.
And now it just clicks and won t retract.
And how long has this been going on.
I deduced this in two ways.
It will work sometimes but is getting worse.
Diagnosing my power awning problem.
I will start to move and will stop.

The awning opens and closes alright but when closed tightly to the top of the support arms the bottom of the arms are out about an inch.
My dometic 9100 electric awning will not retract and just clicks at the motor.
With assistance i can still extend retract the awning but will need to replace the damaged arm by next season.
Pinch hazard.
I can push them in manually but they pop back out.
