So i replaced the blower motor. When the fan stops working freon will heat up and be unable to cool down quickly causing the vents to blow hot air at times. A common problem for the dodge ram pick up truck is to have low airflow even though the blower fan can be heard loud and strong. Fusses and relays are good. The condenser fan is designed to keep the heat away from the a c system. Come to find out from the dealer the resistor is inside the blower motor. I recently bought an 06 2500 qcsb and notice that the ac was cold but did not pump out much volume of air even on the high setting.

Usually the problem is because of a broken fresh air door aka recirculate door. Step 1 locate the ac box under the passengder dashboard and remove the ac blower motor. Flat head screwdriver 3 screws. Everyone telling me to replace the resistor.

The condenser fan motor may have died. To check the condenser fan open the hood and observe if the fan turns off when the engine is running. It s been on 2 different scans and both passed with no faults. Suspect faulty switch but don t know how to test to confirm.
