Dishwasher Drain Solenoid Leaking

If the inlet valve is the source of the problem do not use the dishwasher until it has been repaired. Our dishwasher ge gsd3200g00ww is leaking underneath whenever the drain process kicks in. Sometimes the seal will go bad and cause your ge dishwasher pump to leak. The drain hose feeds water from the dishwasher to the drain pump drain line and eventually out your sink drain all visible only once you remove the kickplate panel at the base of your appliance.

On some ge dishwasher pumps there will be a drain solenoid such as the one below. It looks like the seal between the drain solenoid and the drain itself has deteriorated and should be replaced. Leaks under the dishwasher can be caused by a leaking drain line broken heating element water seal leaking pump and motor assembly or leak in the water inlet assembly. If the tub on your dishwasher gets too full it can also cause a dishwasher leak.

Removed the drain solenoid. This part 1 2 inch in diameter that is right against the drain around where the shaft comes out popped right off. For more help finding the source of the leak check out our dishwasher leaks troubleshooting video. Step 4 check the water level.
